Keiki Care Center of Hawaii, Inc. (KCCOH), a preschool care facility for children ages 2 to 4 years old, has been created to perpetuate and foster the philosophy and values that have been developed and carried on throughout the many decades of years of teaching by its highly trained, experienced and dedicated teachers and staff. Many of our teachers have degrees in the early childhood education field, and a few even have attained Master’s Degrees. You can be assured that your child will be in wonderful hands here at KCCOH.
KCCOH was opened due to the closure of St. Timothy’s Children’s Center (STCC) in Aiea, since the hope was to employ as many of the teachers and faculty to keep the “ohana” together, as well as to continue to provide a great preschool education for those families that were displaced due to the closure. STCC was the only nationally accredited preschool on this side of the island, and KCCOH will definitely follow suit and strive for accreditation during this next year.
KCCOH is located in Aiea, in the Wayland Baptist University campus. The environment is very cheerful and beautifully decorated with paintings of the Hawaiian islands. We are centrally and conveniently located with peaceful, quiet surroundings. KCCOH is near to the Aiea Library, where the teachers are able to take the children to.
At KCCOH, we view each child as an individual…a bright learner with potential for growth and development needing an optimal, stimulating environment. Our environment is safe, challenging, supportive, nurturing, and respectful of the child and his/her family.
KCCOH offers high-quality education and care Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for children enrolled in the full-time program. For those children enrolled in the partial day program, their day will end at 2:00 p.m.
KCCOH operates a year-round school calendar that runs from mid-August through mid-July. The summer break is for professional development trainings and workshops for our staff, to ensure that our faculty is always up-to-date in their field of early childhood education, and First Aid and CPR training.
We are now accepting enrollment reservations for children ages two to four…willing to learn…while having fun…in a nurturing and caring environment!
KCCOH could possibly be the best school for your child! Please feel free to call to schedule a parent tour or a classroom observation session at 486-3565. Mahalo nui loa!
